Flyer Requirements
- Must be PDF format
- 8½ × 11 portrait orientation
- No hyperlinks — use QR code or URL instead
- Contact info and organization name clearly stated
- Must include district disclaimer (unless Foundation or district sponsored)
Approval
Who Needs Approval?
Not all DSD Ads require district approval, but some categories do.
Restrictions
Materials Cannot
- Interfere with district educational objectives
- Compete with district programs
- Be obscene or libelous
- Be religious or sectarian
- Be contrary to district curriculum
- Advertise products not permitted by law for minors
- Advertise for a political purpose or to influence a ballot proposition
- Advertise fundraising activities or contests for non-school organizations
- Advertise volunteer/internship/employment not sponsored by district
- Discriminate against any person based on race, religion, national origin, gender, age, marital status, disability, public assistance status, or any other protected class
- Advertise during regularly scheduled school day
- Advocate violation of school registration
