Community Spirit

The People Behind FORE Kids Golf

Every year, sponsors, players, and volunteers come together on the course not just for a great round of golf, but because they believe every student in Davis County deserves to start the year equipped for success. This is what community investment looks like.

Oakridge Country Club

Oakridge Country Club in Farmington is the premier golf course and country club in Davis County. It’s a stunning course nestled against the Wasatch mountains, and playing there is a major draw for tournament participants.

Why It Matters

One Morning. One Course. A Year of Impact.

FORE Kids Golf isn’t just a scramble—it’s the Davis Education Foundation’s single highest-return fundraiser. In one morning at Oakridge Country Club, the tournament raises funds that go directly into programs serving students across Davis County.

The format is simple: four-person teams compete in an 18-hole scramble, with on-course contests, food trucks, and a prize drawing to close the day. But what makes it work is the partnership model behind it. Local businesses sponsor holes, carts, contests, and title-level packages—and every dollar raised flows into Cash for Classrooms grants, teacher innovation funding, and student support programs.

The event sells out regularly, bringing together business leaders, educators, and community supporters who share a belief that every student in Davis County deserves to start the school year with what they need to succeed.

FORE Kids Golf is a morning that reminds people why community investment matters. You show up to play golf and you leave knowing your team just helped a student start the year with shoes, a backpack, and the confidence to walk into school ready.
